Volunteers helped with pre-race registration, course set-up, staffing aid stations, encouraging and directing runners at turns, getting the post-race buffet food ready, awards and cleanup. The earliest volunteers arrived at 6:00am and the latest helped until 2:30pm to make this a quality event. Volunteers received race t-shirts and joined in the buffet and awards ceremony after the race.

Many thanks to the great and enthusiastic volunteers! These folks were essential to making this event a success. Those who put in the most hours and effort included Brian Lynn, Steve Holmbraker, Bill Norton, Jay Shapp, Alice Duffy, Bob Harris, Karen Larsen, Lorraine Pahucki, Karen Linen, Mark Mishler, Susan Gadziala, Dennis Toscano.

Bill Norton, Brian Lynn, Bob Harris and Ed Homenick took care of setting up and taking down course signage, marking course at turns and splits and setting up aid stations every mile. Bill Norton is the Roosa Gap Race Director; he organizes the 11.77 Mile Roosa Gap Roller Coaster Run in Wurtsboro (845-888-2107) on the last Sunday in September.
