in Rock Hill, NY at
5:45pm; varying
speeds and abilities. If the weekly
workout is going to be held at an alternate location, an announcement
will be sent out by email to club members. You're
welcome to
suggest
alternate routes for Striders club

Thursday of each month, we run
from the municipal parking lot (behind TD BankNorth) in
Monticello, NY at
5:45pm. Our
monthly meeting follows the run/walk across the
street at Vino Restaurant/Bar in Monticello, NY. Any

"Blueberry
Run" ; 4 miles; start at lake, around lake and over old golf course.
Blueberries Galore!! $7 entry to State Park will be charged at gate
prior to 7 pm. Registration starts at 6 pm each evening. Family
Fee for series is
$20.00. Individual Fee for series is $15.00. Fee per night

Grove Summer Trail Race 5K 6:00pm Samual

Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. A race
to benefit Locust Grove, the
Samuel Morse Historic Site. The scenic, all-trail course winds
along carriage roads overlooking the Hudson. Fresh flowers from
the site greenhouse and gardens will be
awarded to the top
three
runners in all men's and women's divisions. Refreshments and
dinner served to all registered runners. Limit 150 runners.
Registration fees: In advance - $15 non-refundable (due by July 29th),

- Saturday August 7, 2010: Jeff Jam 5K & 10K Start time for the runners is 9:00am for
the 5K and 10:00am for the 10K. Walkers start 30 minutes before
runners. The price is $17.00 for either race by August 5th or
register for both races for $23.00 You get a heavyweight,
gold hooded sweatshirts (it'll be cold before you know it!), post-race
burgers, hot dogs & more. Beer provided by the Rhinebeck
Brewing Company (you must be 21) and glass awards for runners and
walkers You can run both races (5k and 10k). There is a $5
discount if you also race the Monster Classic or the Callicoon River
Run. So, you can race both a 5k and a 10k, get a hooded
sweatshirt, all for only $23, or only $18 if you do the Monster or

4 Downtown 4 Miler at 9:00am to benefit the City of
Middletown BID to help restore Middletown's Downtown Business District
to its vibrant past. Start & finish: Franklin
Square near
corner of North & South Streets, East Main & West Main Streets,
Middletown,
NY. Unique challenge: $350 total prize money
to first three runners. Female runners will be given a head start over
male runners equal to the difference in the average finishing time for
the top three males in 2009 and the average finishing time for the top
three women in 2009. The time ends up being a 3:40 head start for
2010. First to cross the line earns $200, second

marked at 1km, 1.5km (1500 meters, which is the turnaround point) and
2km. It will be at the discretion of the
spotters to warn and if necessary, disqualify someone if they deem them
to be running.

Annual Woodbury Country Ramble 5K in Central Valley, NY. 5K race and 2
mile walk start at 9:00 am. Ramble Scramble races for kids 12 and
under on the track start at 10:00 am. Pre-registration is $15.00,
$18.00 day of the race. Ramble Scrambles $3, but get a T-shirt for
$15. T-Shirts to the first 175 registered. Information,

. This race benefits the Coach Dick Wilson Memorial Scholarship
and the Woodbury Lions Club Community Programs. Sunday morning

10K Run There will also be a Main Street Mile
later that night through closed downtown streets. Courses are
USATF certified, flat and fast. The half is only $35 before July

Burns was a local scout master in Milford, PA who passed away in
2001. His family initiated this event to raise money for a scholarship
awarded each year to a deserving high school senior.
In 2007, two $1000 scholarships were given out. Since James and his son
are both veterans, there is also a contribution to The
