Bill
Bowerman Track Renovation
Program - a grant we could
apply for to resurface our track. Bill
Bowerman, the co-founder of Nike with Phil Knight, coached more sub 4
minute milers than any other coach in US history, including the
legendary Steve Prefontaine. Bowerman was one of the key founders of
the running movement in the US.
Imagine a 5km HS X-C (cross
country) course
made of two 1.55 mile loops with a challenging 0.5 mile uphill at a 5
per cent grade each time and a one mile elementary school x-c course as
well.
Step six:
Train to be the best you can be!

Hurdles: different heights for

The best hurdles site on the web: Coach
Steve McGill's www.hurdlesfirst.com
Coach Steve McGill has great
stories
about hurdlers, advice on technique for beginners to advanced hurdlers,
correcting problems, enjoying this great event. Coach McGill is a great
example of a student of the
sport: he has developed a high level of what is called "sport
intelligence". You, too, can develop your level of sport
intelligence by learning more about your event: what to love about it,
how to prep for it, how to be your best and have fun!
