A variety of distances and difficulty levels encourages goal-inspiring performances by runners exercising perseverance, patience and vigilance.  The HVGP at one time or another has attracted almost all elite runners in the region, plus dedicated "developing" runners.  2007 overall winners, first, second and third, male and female, will receive $100.00, 75.00, and 50.00 gift certificates from Groo's Athlete's Action, in Middletown. This is in addition to first place prize money, Trophies in all the above categories will remain unchanged. Random drawings for five $50.00 certificates to Athlete's Action will be available to ALL HVGP members, regardless of the number of races completed. Two additional 5K races will be available to 12-&-UNDER ONLY, for a total of seven 5K's.

The 2007 Awards Luncheon will again be held at the American Legion Lodge, Waywayanda Avenue, Middletown, on Sunday, January 27, 2008 directly after the second ORC Winter Series race. HVGP members: free; guest: $5.00.
