Interclub Challenge was the brainchild of fellow Strider Tom Manza who came up with the idea shortly after Sullivan Striders became an official club. It has been a hit with our club along with Orange Runners Club, Rockland Road Runners & Bronx Road Runners ever since. This year was a tie breaker between ORC, SS & RRR as each held three wins. The trash talking before hand was for the most part friendly with a lil pie slinging towards race day. RRR didn't fill a bus so their numbers were down in comparison to the year it was held on their turf. ORC had a great turnout of about 90 people and SS came with 74!  The field was packed with athletes of all abilities and the course laid out by ORC was really sweet with opportunities all along the way to cheer your friends on as you were doing your race. It took quite some time to tally up the results but the final tally was SS with 295 points(1st place), ORC with 264 points(2nd place) and RRR with 40 points(3rd place). Bronx was missed as they didn't come this year. Hopefully we will consider inviting in some other clubs to keep this going. I've often thought we should ask VanCortland Track Club and some other local clubs up the valley. - Dennis Toscano
