| What a great day. We went down as a
Striders cheering squad. It was Dennis Toscano, Harold Johnson, Kim
Klemen, Abby Billias & Shona Sneddon. We went to 39th & 4th
Ave.
in Brooklyn & got to see the wheelchair division, the elite runners
and most of the field before heading to Manhattan. Then we went to
110th & 5th Ave. where we were able to see & run with Nancy
Figueroa, Gladys Nieves, & John Singer. We missed Joe Falcon,
Myriam Loor, Jim Phelen, JC Santa Teresa and others but what a day
overall. I strongly suggest doing this if you ever wanted to run NY but
don't get in. Or you can volunteer like Nancy Warth did and get a whole
different perspective of things. Either way, it's a happening that few
get to experience. |
